Solid wood installation tips
At Floors 2 Go, we always guide our customers to treat solid wood as a natural, living material that responds to its surroundings. Before installation, we recommend allowing the planks to acclimatise in the room for around 5 to 7 days so they adjust to the temperature and humidity. It is best suited for spaces like living rooms, hallways, and bedrooms, while LVT or SPC works better in moisture-prone areas such as bathrooms and kitchens.
We also advise professional fitting to manage natural expansion, and if underfloor heating is involved, we usually suggest considering engineered wood instead for better compatibility. Visit our showroom to explore options in person and get tailored advice.
